38 in the Stoll Family Have a Party in December

Guenther tackles our front walk after the big snow storm last week.
We were able to get the Cultural Hall at our chapel for the December Stoll party. With Renee and Suzie in town, we had thirty-eight people, so we really needed a place for a big group. The chapel was perfect...the heat was on, and the parking lot was plowed when we got there at 4 p.m. on the 26th. Jackie had organized a "soup" menu, and everything was yummy.Genie and David.

Miscellaneous Photos

Jeannine's daughter, Lindsey, helped me bake sugar cookies and make a pear jello salad one morning when the missionaries were having dinner with us that night. Lindsey loves to cook.

Kordell Norton, Renee's husband, gave a presentation to the Draper Chamber of Commerce, and Guenther and I were pleased to be invited. They were here from Ohio for Christmas with the four Utah Norton kids, and also for Krissie's baby who is due anytime.

Guenther took this shot of me as I waited for Nancy, Summer, and Drew one Sunday in December. Nancy got tickets to see the Tabernacle Choir's Christmas Program.

Katherine helps me give cooking lessons to Summer

Katherine and I have been going to Nancy's each Wednesday to cook with Summer. I checked out some children's cookbooks from the library and Summer chooses the recipe she wants to do for the next Wednesday. This week she chose "Truth or Dare cupcakes." Katherine has a lot of talent for teaching, and Summer loves her.

Drew and Katherine in their Christmas recital

Here are some shots of Katherine and Drew that I took at their Christmas recital. McCall models the hat that she knitted. (I wish I understood how to get this underlining to go away)

A Fun Visit from Lindsay and the Utah Greats

Lindsay brought the three munchkins over for a visit last week. They're so cute, and I love her for taking the time and effort to drive to Salt Lake to see me.

Emalise's kindergarten class did something on Rudolph that afternoon. Then the next photo shows where Ellyn grabbed the pink Barbie dress from Ema and hurt her feelings. Later on together they played scooper ball beautifully with me.

Bye Bye, GrandmaGreat

Kai is learning to walk...now Lindsay is really in for trouble.

Oh No! Not My New Car!

Last week I was driving on a road by Alta View Hospital when I had to stop for a car that was pulling out of a parking space on the left side of the road. As I sat there, a fellow in a Ford 250 pickup truck backed right into my door. My Altima sits below his line of vision in the rear view mirror, and he obviously didn't look at his side view mirrors. Luckily he was insured, and my car should be fixed by tomorrow.

Thanksgiving 2008

We had a full house for Thanksgiving dinner. All those in Guenther's family who live in Salt Lake were able to be here with the exception of Jackie and Amber and their families. With 26 of us we were lucky to find a place to sit. I brined the turkey again, and I surely do like the moist salty flavored meat. Everyone else brought good stuff, so we had plenty to eat.
