Tending Ema and Ellyn

The first thing we do when the girls come to GrandmaGreat's house...have a Creamie...it's a tradition. And Ema always lets me know that she has already eaten some "healthy food" before she comes to see me.

Next, we read stories.

And when GrandmaGreat gets a little tired, there's always Sesame Street...Hooray!

An Ice Cream Party For Our Anchorage, Alaska Missionary

On Monday night, August 27th, we had a get-together to bid farewell to Kordell and Renee's son, Dallas, who will enter the MTC on Wednesday. He is going to the Alaska Anchorage Mission, so he may run into the Weights and the Whiteheads.

Emma Claire Came Home Today

Emma and her mom came home from the hospital today. In this photo, she has just finished nursing; she is contentedly asleep, and she doesn't mind being propped up for the camera.

The proud papa holds his new daughter.

Our Weekly Visit to West Point

Today we made our regular trip to West Point in order to mow the lawns and cut the weeds. I love to ride the tractor and mow the pasture. Can you tell?

Here's Guenther wielding the weedeater.

That's an F-22, I believe, (one needs to click on this photo to enlarge it) flying overhead. The sky was so lovely today.

An Exciting Blessed Event in the Robert Stoll Family

Emma Claire Stoll was born yesterday, August 19, 2007. She was a fantastic birthday gift for her big brother, David, who was also born on the 19th of August. She weighed in at 8 lb. 3 oz and was 21 inches long. Mother and baby are doing totally wonderfully well...needless to say, we all feel tremendously blessed.
Look at all that hair!
David entertains himself in his mommy's absence. Bob has taken two weeks off to care for him and to help Genie. Genie should be coming home in four days...she had Emma by C-Section.
An exhausted little boy finally puts himself down for a nap. (I scooted him up on the bed after snapping this photo.)

"Keeping Fit" or "A Job Well Done"

Today, Thursday the 16th of August, Guenther and Caleb tackled the tall weeds on the Lancaster's property. Here are the before and after photos.

Caleb is taking a little break here...this summer has been incredibly hot...and today is no exception. Good work, guys!

More summer activites with the grandma...visiting the Museum of Natural History on the U of U campus

Drew is waiting for her prince to materialize.

Speaking of frogs (or are they toads?) , aren't these guys interesting? They look like they've been run over by a truck. At first I thought they were just displays, but then they began to swim around.

The kids explore an early American dwelling.

Mike is carefully examining something here.

McCall studies a mineral display.

Grandma thinks that these kids like this gift shop in the museum best of all the displays.
